Excellent hike, and the guide we were given was very knowledgable of the volcano and the path itself and was able to identify lots of plants along the way. Prepare for the humidity at the bottom. Prepare for the exposure at the top. You should get to a point where theres a bundle of walking sticks right before the incline increases, our guide said we could take them if we wanted to...do it, take one. On the day we hiked there was a ring of cloud surrounding the summit so once we got about 3/4 of the way up visibility was quite poor, but it did nothing to lessen the experience. The last couple hundred yards can be intimidating and you get to crawling on hands and knees at times, but I still recommend this to any avid hikers who want a unique challenge. The path is well indicated and clean. We didn't get to see much in the summit because of the clouds but it was totally worth it.
