We did the kayak trip from Lake Cocibolca into the river. Because we are in dry season, we had to get out of the kayaks from the lake to walk to the river and get in another set of kayaks there. Which was fine, a 5 min walk. The river was quite low again because of the time of year, so it was a bit of a shorter trip than we expected because there were parts that were completely dry that in rainy season, are covered in water. I'm not going to lie, the water in the river is kind of nasty but man, lots of wildlife! So many different kinds of birds, we saw several small caiman, a turtle, adorable little bats sleeping on a tree, etc. If you like nature, this is definitely worth it!
