On the hunt Nicaragua was a beautiful and humbling experience that I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to enjoy. Christian and Nick were two of the coolest guys; they look like brothers, and I still cant tell who is more talented at fishing because they both could have sprouted gills and i wouldn't have been surprised. They both radiated with knowledge, patience, and cultural insights that left me feeling a sense of relief that good people still exist and thrive while being able to live out their passion and dream. It was a beautiful compound, peaceful, quiet, and everybody who played a role in the sustained comforts and convenience were all extremely polite and helpful and accommodating.

I happen to eat a vegetarian diet, which they were unaware of prior to my arrival, and could have easily expressed inconvenience or have left me feeling guilty but not at all. I was catered to with ease and I appreciated their respect and understanding. I did catch my own dinner during my stay, and enjoyed the fruits of my labor with gratitude for all. I would highly recommend for anybody looking to get away on a private experience, visit a different culture, but know you're safe and can relax and just simply be.

On the Hunt Nicaragua absolutely crushed it. Booking this trip was a no brainer and I am already planning my return trip. Christian and Nick are top notch captains and hosts. The fishing is some of the best in the world as this Northern coast is basically the last frontier of offshore fishing. Everyday we went out on the boat we landed pacific sailfish and brought back mahi. The surf was consistently firing and Christian/Nick were on it. They have a deep understanding of the tides, breaks, and navigating the terrain. Every morning they set us up at the right spot, right time, and with no crowd. I have never seen such great breaks with no other surfers on it. These Boom Oasis exceeded expectations. It was such a nice place to unwind. With a view of the “Boom” and overlooking the sunsetting on the horizon, I couldn’t ask for a better place to relax and enjoy meals/naps. Not to mention the staff. They were so kind and helpful. Perfect Escape for Surf, Fishing, and Chill Vibes

My stay at On the Hunt Nicaragua was absolutely amazing. The lodging was super comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff made me feel welcome and taken care of from the start.

The surf was a dream — consistent waves and barely anyone out. I had entire sessions to myself, which is almost unheard of these days.

The real standout for me was the fishing. The captains are incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do. From incredible topwater action for mahi mahi to hard fights with big sailfish, we did it all. The boat has bells and whistles and gets you out to the fishing grounds fast while still being super comfortable...
