Rayfield Resort is an ideal getaway spot located in Rayfield, Jos. It occupies an extensive area of land and affords you sceneries that are not commonly found within the city.
There is the availability of an ample parking area, so the question of where to park is eliminated. Worthy of note is the fact that there is a gate fee required before gaining entrance into the resort area of Rayfield.
The scenery within the resort is beach-like with sufficient palm trees, a mini water body, a playground for adults and/or kids, several exhibitions ongoing, and an open space for entertainment and convenience rooms (these are substandard, though).
The resort offers a variety of food/snack options, a restaurant-style dining arrangement and an amazing view for soaking up the scenery whilst having intimate moments, making it a great place to spend time with a spouse, kids, and family. Better yet, alone.
The major activity that passes for captivating is that of the boat ride. I never would have thought that such an activity was feasible in a city on a plateau. The boat ride is a highly recommended activity especially if you are not hydrophobic. However, you should know that safety precautions were adhered to before boarding and that there are lifeguards on call. I engaged in this activity just about when the sun was setting, and I must confess that the sunset scenery was picturesque; one I would not mind reliving.
The members of staff within the resort are the sweetest you would come across and are judicious in the execution of their duties. They are cordial and hospitable to the degree that it felt somewhat surreal. However, I reckon that the staff strength is upped to prevent burnout and improve the efficiency of service delivery.
In general, Rayfield Resort is a great place for a weekend getaway, to spend intimate moments with loved ones (and yourself), appreciate nature, unwind and reboot your energy bar. It could also serve as a muse for creatives....

Β Β Β Read moreOne of the first place I was eager to visit when I came in Jos newly was the Rayfield Resort. When I eventually got to visit it, I was disappointed at the state of the tourist site.
Rayfield resort has a good island with nature as it's companion. It has some "historical" designs to help connect visitors/tourist to the beauty of ancient times as regarding craft works.
There is equally boat cruise for a fee. The environment reminds visitor of the beauty of nature. Thankfully, last time I visited this site, there was improvement on the environment. It's gradually getting developed to modern standard while still maintaining it's ancient beauty.
I hope more goodies are introduced to this site to keep it at the top of "a must place to visit" in Jos. And oh, it's a go-to place for meditation or...
