The 10-square-kilometre municipality existed from 1881 until 1992 when it was merged into the municipality of Arendal in what is now Agder county. Min kjære øy. Bor her og gått på skole her. Mye flott natur og fin badestrand, Stølsvika. Skjærgården er utrolig fin. Om sommeren kan en ta turistbåten Nidelva og kjøre " ront elva". Rundt elva. En fin opplevelse og jeg anbefaler det på det...
