We had a Northern Lights trip with Adrien earlier this week. It is difficult not to repeat all the previous positive reviews.............but I will. Adrien's expertise and quiet confidence meant I was never in doubt that we would witness what we had travelled so far to see. The weather at our vacation location was grim but Adrien assured us that if we were happy to drive over the border to Finland the skies would clear. As we drove through mist and rain we looked hopefully toward the horizon.......and soon after crossing the border the clouds melted away to reveal the start of an amazing Aurora show at the location that Adrien had chosen. The weather here is notoriously unpredicatable and Adrien's local knowledge was invaluable. Whilst we watched and tried to photograph the lights Adrien explained his passion for the Aurora and described how it all happens plus the tricky "dark art" of Aurora prediction. I can't thank Adrien enough for this course and the information it covers. Adrien is highly qualified and dedicated to Space Weather as well as the Aurora. It is so good of him to share his life experience and valuable knowledge with the general public. He is such a good teacher and everything is so well explained. Adrien goes the extra mile to make sure you understand all of the syllabus. This is course is such good value for money for the time he gave to the group. The hardest part is finding time but make sure you make time! I think it is great that the course is recorded incase you can't make it on the day and it is also there to revise. We recently had the absolute pleasure of joining Adrian from Night Films Photography on a Northern Lights tour near Tromsø, and we can't recommend him enough. Unlike the big bus tours that stick to more crowded, touristy spots, Adrian takes you off the beaten path to the most remote and secret viewing locations.
