A nice and smaller place for skiing and rambling. We have been doing some alpine skiing over the years and have always adored the wonderful nature. It’s also not very crowded because there are only 2 buses a day which take you from Lillehammer (and back). Unfortunately, the services provided are not that great. You can still buy a lift card personally- they have very nice staff there- but that’s almost it. There is no inside room to put on your gear (like shoes) and you cannot put your bags in a locker (like in Hafjell). We just left it outside and were happy it wasn’t taken away. But the shoes became really cold. Then, during the week there is just one cafe that’s open (Treffen). If the weather is bad, you can only ski in a very limited area, and this year (2025) there isn’t enough snow for one part of the skiing area. On the plus side, there are very few people and you have ample space- and the snow is often better due to the higher altitude. However, I got the impression that opportunities are wasted and customers are only welcome if they rent something there.

The mountain this time of year was lovely. Many people out roller skiing and mountain biking and hiking. We loved our short visit. The Thon hotel had enough amenities to facilitate a comfortable stay, as you would mostly be outside if possible. Only complaint was I wish they had some table or counterspace in or very near bathroom for things ur...

Eenvoudig maar knus appartement. Vloerverwarming in de badkamer. Ruim balkon.
