Car park available at the bottom - 24 h access - you can pay through app (Easy Park) We paid 172.56 NOK per 24 hours. - inc fee. To get top car park is about 20 km off road - but you can manage with standard car as we have seen some. No signal/ network coverage at all. Shelter and benches at the end of the car park. No toilets. Trail - very rocky - proper boots essential. At the top was the moment we really liked. Proper sign and visitor book. No signs, posts etc of trails so make sure you know where you are going. Some cairns are visible and helpful but for some people could be challenge. Some sections have nice views. We wish to give more stars - but not this time. Sorry.

The famous and appriciated slivovica from Ondrej Durica made it to highest spot in Finland, by making happy couple of winter hikers on its way from Kilpisjärvi to the top. Thanks to both Krol & Durica families for the resources and support! 💪

Useamman vuoden haave Haltin vaelluksesta kävi toteen vihdoin v. 2017. Vaelluksen aikana päällimmäinen ajatus oli sietämätön kipu, mutta jälkikäteen en vaihtaisi hetkeäkään pois. Upeat maisemat, hiljaisuus, rauha, yksinäisyys... Kaikki, mistä unelmoinkin, löytyi käsivarren erämaasta. Oli niin mahtavaa, etten halua kaikille sitä edes suositella.
