Solbergfossen — Local services in Lier

Very nice place for a quick picnic or swim, if the conditions are favorable. There was not a lot of water there when we visited, but it was still worth the journey.

Recommend parking by the Tronstad power station (Tronstad kraftverk) and walking up. Takes approx. 30 minutes to walk up from there. Walk back on to main road and exit at gap in roadside barriers.

Awesome waterfall and a short walk from the road. Tricky parking near the power station though. Also the road had collapsed meaning a detour from across fields. From the power station walk up the road, around the detour and back down the road, then look for red tree markers. We went in deep snow which is challenging with the steep hills and ice. It is must visit though, and will be beautiful...

Beautiful place, I will definitely go back. The place is just a short drive away from Oslo, with a small parking space next to the trail towards the waterfall. From the parking space in Kanada, there is only a 10-minutes downhill walk to the waterfall. The view is amazing, the waterfall larger...
