06.2024/ It was such a beautiful car ride through spectacular and wild landscapes on the roof of Norway. One of the most memorable norwegian scenic routes! The road crosses in Jotunheimen National Park. You have to stop in several scenic view points as you arrive from Lom: Vegaskjelet view point, stop also at Bovertonvatnet lake, after at Nufshaug Scenic ViewPoint and Sognefjellet Viewing Point 1434 m. The last are Nedre Oscarshaug and Fortun Scenic Viewpoint. The road connects Lom and Gaupne and is 108 km in total. It reaches 1434 m altitude and crosses the highest pass in northern Europe. The traffic is not permitted between 8 p.m and 8 a.m. I recommend a sandwich stop at the End of Sognefjorden, at the end of the lake. I wish all of you good weather in order to catch with your eyes the entire beauty of the landscape!

Stunning road. Drove it and then the next day cycled it on my road bike. Smooth tarmac, quiet traffic and incredible views. Perfect cycling and driving pass that’s up there with the best.
