Just writing this review (as a local) to hopefully save tourists (specifically coach/bus tours but this also applies to people driving themselves) an unnecessary detour from the E6. At present all roads and parking areas by the camping site related to the waterfall are closed with various barriers, you can still drive down to the area that gives the easiest access to the waterfall, but since there's no parking it might be difficult. You can experience the waterfall on foot, but this might not be accessible for everyone depending on how sure footed you are because of the terrain or if you have mobility issues. The facilities of the camping ground such as the cafe are also closed, so if you do decide to venture out here bring your own food/snacks, and bug spray as there's a lot...
Read moreWonderful waterfall! Easy 5 minute walk to viewpoint. It's very wet and icy. waterproof shoes are needed. Be careful on the steps, frozen ice makes them extremely slippery. Take all the left turns on route they bring you to different fantastic viewpoints of the waterfall and river. The cabins and Café are closed, I think it's only open in the summer season, but you can still go to the waterfall. Free parking. Didn't see any salmon but I think it's not the season either lol. The waterfall is beautiful, gushing and powerful. Force of nature to admire. I highly recommend driving down the road after you'll find a nice above viewpoint.
