Awsome area with a wonderful tour. We went there with two kids (8 and 10). We had the most lovely tour guide who was fluent in so many languages (nirwegian, german, french, Tchech,...)who was super knowledgeable. The kids had fun and learned a lot. Make sure to wear appropriate clothing. It is cold and wet in the mine as one can expect (ca. 4 °C) We had an...

I absolutely LOVED it! I discovered much more about this norwegian artist which completely got me. It´s worth to see and the walk up to the museum (and mines, which I did not visited) sets the visitor in the right atmosphere to take in the art of Theodor Kittelsen. The lady at the reception was fantastic in finding some help when I´ve needed it. Absolutely...

Visited july 2023 during the summer holidays. Attended the childrens mine tour which is a guided tour (in Norwegian) thats suitable for 4-10 year olds. Very interesting and informative tour, recommended! Our guide Stig was really great!

We went on the short guided tour, and found it really interesting part of it due to the guide a young guy doing a really good job of explaining the history and details on how the mine worked when in operation
