Mikaelshulen or St. Michaels church is an exciting hiking destination and is accessible by boat and on foot, but the approach is difficult. There is free parking on Omdalsvegen for like 10-12 cars. We arrived around 11am on a sunday and when we got back around 1pm, the parking was already full. From the parking area, just follow blue-marked trail leading to the cave. The final stretch to the cave goes through steep terrain. The steep trail leading up to the cave, which includes steps and handrails. It was closed for months due to landslide but the trail was rebuilt and reinforced recently and is now accessible. In wet weather, the trail can be slippery, especially in the steep section up to the cave so be sure to gear up or just avoid it if you are not up to it. The trail is 1.7km long and is OK for kids who are more adventurous and not afraid of the...

Read moreDet var en kul tur. Ganske bratt oppover, men fin vei /sti.
