Very hard to get to airport. The prices for the shuttle bus are from cosmos. 130 NOK? But it is not so bad compared to Taxi fairs. Around 600 NOK is normal. And the city buses are very rare. If You have a very early flight or late or God forbid, on the weekend, than You are forcef to arrive many hours early or pay for the taxi. Or find in FB groups people who will drive You there, but this is also around 200 nok "for the fuel". Also, the fact that the arrival and departure gates are in the same place is very confusing. It's the first time I see such a thing. First time i saw people leaving the plane through the duty free. I was sure I got lost! And I traveled all over the world! The information is very poor. Hard to find and many times no one is there. Forghet aboud calling the info line to find out about the flights or anything, The automatic system is constructed in such a way, that after 10 minutes You are completly lost in all the options. The bars and shops are horendeously expensive, so better buy stuff on the plane or after arrival to where You are traveling. Also very confusing gate system. My girlfriend had to go through security and checkin twice, because she got lost. Only reason i use it is because there is no other in the area. But just thinking of traveling...
Read moreVery clean and very comfortable airport. Fast and friendly security checks. What surprised me - paid toilets at the international departures terminal. Also information are not clear enough - after security check you enter domestic flights terminal, them you have to go (quite far) to international flights terminal. Totally different part of the airport. Will be nice at add some arrows or any other signs with clear information. Finally I was informed by the lady at the book store that I am still in domestic flights section. Also information about busses from the airport should be improved. Flugbusse (the red ones) ale the only direct buses from and to the airport. Local buses (green) do not offer direct connection with Stavanger even if the app says so. I was informed by bus drivers that I have to change the bus in the middle of the way. What I really enjoyed is tax free shop. Beautiful. All the products in a perfect condition. Super friendly stuff. I do recommend to spent some time (and money :) ) there. Overall rating of the airport is 5 stars from me anyway but there are still areas to...
Read more💸 Save money: Don’t take the overpriced S40 bus (€12) to the city center if you have time. Instead, get a 24-hour ticket for Nord-Jæren (€8) via the Kolumbus app, or even just a 1-hour ticket for €3.5. Use bus 42 from platform 3 (direction Sandnes), get off at "Sande terrasse," and transfer to line 7 heading toward the city center. Alternatively, take bus 42 (direction Sandnes) to Koppholen and then switch to bus 3 to the center. You can also plan your route on kolumbus.no for accurate directions. 🛫 The airport: Modern and pleasant, not too large, with plenty of restaurants and duty-free shopping options. 🍰 Joe and the Juice: This location offers gluten-free and vegan desserts. 🍾 Champagne: Cheaper than at Vinmonopolet (the state-run alcohol store). If you want to save on alcohol after arrival, compare prices and buy directly here. I got champagne for €9.71 instead of €12.99. 🛂 Security check: Very smooth process. While waiting, there were complimentary gingerbread cookies available. 🍅 Interesting fact: This airport also grows tomatoes under artificial light within the indoor areas of...
