Someone told me long ago that Lodal valley and Kjenndal Glacier should not be missed in Norway. Beautiful scenery and a dramatic history has been make Lodal valley a place quite out of the ordinary. So I was curious to visit this valley. And I found that Lodal valley has an unusually impressive landscape. The scars from the landslide on the side of Mt. Ramnefjell and the abandoned farms at Nesdal gave me an indication of Lodal valley´s dramatic history. This is the enterance to Kjendal and it's Glacier, after a long and very interesting drive I reached to the end of the lake. This natural marvel is well worth seeing and, whether by car or motorcycle, ride into. I often find that some of the natural beauty to behold, is best viewed with hanging clouds and medium light, rather than in sparkling sunshine.
