really nice and overall easy hike. it’s pretty steep tho and for the whole hike you are going up, so keep it in mind! i started walking from the train station and it is around 4km one way more to the whole hike, but surely worth it!! it’s a nice way to warm up before the proper path, you are going only on the road, but you see some pretty houses along the way! I went in the middle of November and it was soooo wet and slippery. after stepping into the mud puddle for the 5th time I just gave up and went for it. at the end of the hike my shoes went from white to all brown. We really enjoyed this hike! Would highly recommend to others looking for a walk out of the city without the need for a long drive. There is a small parking area for 4/5 cars most of the way up the road to the lake (60°26'01.6"N 5°38'28.4"E) and there also appeared to be some parking right by the lake (see photo). Otherwise there is the odd spot along the road on the way up or there is parking down at Trengereid train station, but that adds around 4 km each way...

Hei. I koronatiden har det vært stor trafikk til Nordre Skulstad og Hananipa. Turgåere parkerer langs den smale bygdeveien slik at ikke bossbil brannbil og ambulanse kommer frem. Vennligst ikke parker på snuplassen helt på toppen heller. Dette er ingen parkeringsplass. Snuplassen er laget for utrykningskjøretøyer , kommunens lastebiler og brøytetraktor.
