Skydive Voss — Local services in Voss

Extremely difficult to deal with if you require a refund due to cancellations - previous reviews seem to confirm this as well. Great if everything goes smoothly and weather is perfect, I unfortunately had a different experience. Travelled a long way for the skydive, called them 3 days in advance to confirm if the dive will go ahead as weather was forecasted to be rain/cloud. Called them the day before and they seemed very confident it would go ahead despite me questioning the weather. We get there on the day, I paid the balance and was immediately told after they take my money that the dive may not go ahead if the clouds stay low. Waited 1.5 hours before we were told the dive is cancelled. I emailed them for confirmation of a refund and for 7 days did not receive a responds or answer to any of my calls. They finally responded 2 weeks later saying they will process the refund and that it would take another 14 days, 14 days pass and still no refund. Emailed them again, and the response was they had filled in the bank account details wrongly and the transaction did not go through and they will redo the refund which then came through immediately. Which begs the question if this was all a delay tactic. While the experience would've have been great if the skydive happened, the business is run extremely badly, when you take money from customers so easily but do not follow up with care. My wife and two of her friends wanted to try tandem skydiving and booked a timeslot for 17th of July. The day came and we drove to the jump site. The weather on the day was unstable but the instructors were optimistic that the jump would go ahead. We proceeded to pay 3 x 3.490 plus the previous paid deposit of 3 x 500 but the weather conditions deteriorated to the point where the instructors canceled due to safety reasons. This was of course irritating but safety must always come first.

The problem is that we never received the refund. We have been in contact with Voss Fallskjermklubb repeatedly and they have actually told us the money was refunded the same day the jump was canceled, but no money has reached any of our bank accounts.

We have sent them numerous mails and called them several times but we don't hear anything from them. No follow up and no money. I would recommend that you don't pay anything to Voss fallskjermklubb unless the weather conditions are absolutely perfect, since it seems they have big cash...

It is the most amazing place to spend time. The environment, the facilities, the overall vibe! There's two saunas and three hot tubs ready for you! Gas grills all over the area and treehouses with beds for rental! The prices are super affordable, and you can not find any similar place to have fun for the whole family anywhere else! There is a bmx track for kids aswell as several large trampolines, a massive chess board, slacklines for beginners and intermediates and amazing food in the café, as well as the best pizza you have ever had (seriously) in the pizzabar!
