Absolutely Terrible Experience – Rude and Unsafe Treatment of Tourists I strongly advise against booking with sidab sea tours muscat ( boat sultana) due to the terrible and unprofessional treatment my family and I received. We were a group of 10, including 3 children, and had booked and paid for the tour well in advance. We were assured that the boat had a capacity of 60 people, but what we experienced was nothing short of a complete failure in professionalism, safety, and customer service. When we reached the destination, our family happened to be the last to disembark. To our shock, we were not provided with life jackets, a basic safety measure that should be guaranteed for all passengers. Concerned for our safety, we asked for life jackets, only to be yelled at by a staff member named Baiju (from Kerala), who aggressively blamed us for being last. Instead of assisting us, he resorted to shouting and humiliating us in front of other passengers. When I firmly raised my voice to demand an explanation, he arrogantly responded, “You will get nothing by raising your voice.” The situation only got worse when I mentioned filing a complaint. Instead of showing any professionalism or concern, Baiju dismissively responded, “If you want to complain, go and complain.” His complete lack of respect for tourists was shocking. This was not just rude behavior—it was outright mistreatment of paying customers. This unprofessional and hostile treatment ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable family experience. My children were frightened, and the entire situation left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome. No tourist should ever be treated this way, especially after paying for a service that should prioritize both customer satisfaction and safety. I urge the company’s management to take strict action against this staff member and to implement better safety and customer service policies. This kind of unprofessionalism not only damages your company’s reputation but also discourages tourists from trusting your services. Until there is accountability for such behavior, I strongly DO NOT recommend this company to anyone looking for a respectful and safe experience.

UPDATE April 12, 2025 ;

Please note that even in their response, the company continues to shift blame and justify the situation instead of taking true responsibility. While they claim that “guests are always our first priority,” the lack of empathy, respect, and the arrogance we experienced—both during the tour and now in their reply—speaks louder than their words.

Dear Sidab Sea Tours Team,

Thank you for your reply. While you mention arranging a private banana boat ride and kayaking for our family, we’d like to clarify that these activities were already included in the package we paid for and were not something extra or specially arranged for us. Highlighting this in your response feels like an attempt to deflect from the real issue.

We understand this was a group-sharing tour, but that does not excuse the failure to provide life jackets, which are a basic safety requirement for every passenger—regardless of when they disembark.

Your response also tries to downplay our experience by saying “other guests were happy.” That does not excuse what happened to us. Just because others were satisfied does not invalidate our experience. We felt disrespected, dismissed, unheard, despite paying in full and trusting your company to provide a safe, respectful, and enjoyable trip.

A genuine commitment to guest safety and satisfaction means listening to complaints without defensiveness and taking real steps to prevent such treatment in the future. We urge you to stop justifying this incident and instead take true...

We took the snorkeling day trip out to the Dimaniyat Islands with Captain Khalid and it was INCREDIBLE! They picked us up from our hotel on time and dropped us off at the marina. The boat was new and spacious for the 6 people total on the trip. It took around an hour boat trip out to the islands. We snorkeled in two locations and we’re able to swim and see sea turtles! Captain Khalid knew all the best places to find them and guided us to there. The water was so clear and tropical blue, incredible. The packed lunch provided was great - so much delicious food (pasta, salad, hummus, sandwich, fruit and more!). On the way back, he drove us by the coast line so we could see Muscat and Captain Khalid pointed out all of the interesting landmarks - we learned a lot. A great day - highly recommend in Oman and a must do with this company! Professional, informed,...

Although we had wanted to go on the Super Special trip (there weren't enough people) , we were not disappointed by the dolphin and snorkeling trip. The water was a bit choppy but we still saw tons of dolphins. We also had a great snorkling experience. There were numerous turtles and a wide variety of fish. At one point it felt like we were just more fish in a fish bowl with how surrounded we were. The captain was nice and helpful. Refreshments consisted of water, juice boxes, and Coke. There were also some cupcakes (think packaged with a long shelf-life) for a snack. Variety of food/drinks could have been better, but we knew what was available beforehand for the most part. Lastly, booking was fairly easy and they communicated pretty quickly via Whatsapp to arrange thr reservation, pick-up, etc. Would...

Have gone for a sea tour. Speed boat sea tour, fishing boating for full day are available and rate depending on the season. We choose 20 omr per person package for 2 hours. During the jurney we saw the some private beaches and sea shore upto yiti. Water reflected in the color of gold near to the rocks, watch towers , guide explaining the portugese invasion and shown a place and told thats were all the portugese army cremations has been conducted. The waiting near harbour for seeing the beautiful sunset and afterwards returned back to the place were been picked up. In the midway the guide allowed one foriegner lady to drive the boat and her crazy driving made us a little terror. All together its been fantastic tour and good.
