Charna Island — Local services in Gadani Tehsil

I went to Charna Island with my friends at the end of October 2024, organized by Scuba Club Pakistan and led by Usama Admjee. They picked us up in the morning from Boat Basin, and the bus was in excellent condition. Usama guided us at the start of the trip, explaining everything in a fun and calm way. Initially, I wasn’t very interested in the instructions, but I realized their importance later when I needed to recall them during activities.

We stayed at a beachfront hotel to freshen up since there weren’t any restrooms ahead. After a light breakfast, we headed to Mubarak Village, where we boarded a boat. The journey to the village took about 1.5 hours. At the village, we stored our belongings in the vehicle, took a few essentials, and avoided gadgets to fully enjoy the experience. The boat ride to Charna Island was roughly an hour, and the clear blue water was so inviting, it felt like jumping in right away!

At Charna Island, we participated in all the activities, including jumping, snorkeling, and scuba diving. They had arranged refreshments like biryani and cold drinks. As the sun began to set, we reluctantly left the water. I was the last one to come out because I just didn’t want the experience to end.

On our way back, we changed at basic facilities, some washrooms weren’t very clean, but we managed. We stopped once more for refreshments and reached back around 8 PM. Overall, it was an amazing trip with excellent guidance. This was my first experience with a trip guide, and it was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended!

I must admit that I had no inkling of what to expect when I planned my visit to this place. My preconceived notions of an idyllic island with serene beaches, where I could bask in the beauty of the ocean and behold the vast expanse of the horizon, were dashed to pieces upon my arrival. It turned out that the place was not an island at all, but rather a mountain jutting out of the water, visible only from a boat. For non-swimmers, taking a dip in the ocean can prove to be a daunting task as the ocean currents can drag one away, and divers are not always readily available to lend a hand. Cliff diving is an activity best suited for proficient swimmers, as one plunges at least 7 feet deep into the water, requiring an ample supply of breath to resurface. It is imperative to bear in mind that embarking on the journey to the Charna Mountain, which takes a strenuous 2-hour boat ride, is at the mercy of Allah. The fisherman's vessels are often antiquated, and the motors can fail without warning. Moreover, in the event of such an incident, the fisherman does not have a radio or a walkie-talkie to communicate with the coast guards or the shore. Upon arriving at the mountain, one may feel drained and fatigued, and venturing into the ocean can lead to uncontrollable nausea, vomiting, and sickness for days on end. Charna Island is most lovely place in Pakistan. Water of this Island is pure blueish color which reflects you. It is a most beautiful place. It’s ideal for those who love fishing and boating. Rent of boat is very less and reasonable according to place. Its only PKR. 4ooo to 6ooo. Swimming is also allow here. The best time to enjoy the boat ride is evening and night. You can feel yourself in night at here. Surrounding area is looking so lovely and romantic at night. Such an amazing and beautiful scenery ocean. People can hire small unique boats from Mubarak Village which provides all basic facility. You can spend here memorable and quality time with your friends and family. It is a very peaceful and calm place. The best thing of this place is underwater photography. Other than this, Charna Island have many more activities such as snorkeling, Jet Ski and cliff jump.

Moreover, Charna Island along with pleasure and cold breeze filled with fresh oxygen. It is key feature of Charna Island. In addition, it have outstanding panoramic view. Island seems extremely mesmerizing. Highly recommended place for nature lover tourists. You fall in love with this island and you want to visit it again and again.
