INCREDIBLE! Sailing on the Faro Catamaran for 5 days was definitely the experience of a lifetime. Sailing with Charli (our amazing captain) and his wife Luz (a very talented Chef) was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had. The boat is spacious and has the conveniences you expect on a catamaran, they allowed us to be as hands on as we wanted or to completely be spoiled. We visited several private islands each day for snorkeling and Charli knew exactly where to anchor for the evening it ensure great tropical breezes. Charli and Luz also have relationships with many of the local islanders so we were blessed to spend time with some of them on several of the islands which made it even more special. This whole experience would not have been possible without Alyssa who I contacted thru Panama Travel Unlimited. Alyssa was very helpful and responsive...even when I said I only had 1 question that turned into 5 quickly! Thank you Alyssa, Charli and Luz for sharing your knowledge and Faro with our family! Oh and before I go I must mention DO NOT look at the extended forecast for San Blas on line, it told us we were in for 6 days of nonstop rain and unsettled waters when in fact we had 6 days of breezy sunshine and 1 evening shower! Happy Sailing...Contact Alyssa and spend your time on Faro with Charli and Luz! The...

What an amazing trip! Everything was absolutely just right...the food (thank you again Pauline) was superb! Tasty, artfully presented, and a delightful variety. Captain Charlie is not only an extremely capable mariner, he is also quite knowledgeable about the Guna Yala culture, which was really interesting and informative. The crew of the Faro respects the local culture, and it was pretty obvious the Guna Yala locals know and respect them back. We interacted with locals everyday, and it was always a treat. The mate, Miguel, was attentive to us both on the Faro and while we were snorkeling or wandering the islands we visited. The crew was a pleasure to travel with. The vessel itself is beautiful, well maintained, and a comfortable to be aboard. If a reader of this review chooses the Faro, the only thing I will warn you about is that your face will probably be sore from the constant smiles and laughter. Captain Charlie even arranged a magnificent sunset on our last evening, a perfect end to a...

my friends and I just returned from five gorgeous days sailing around the San Blas on Faro. Charlie, Luz, and Miguel were such gracious hosts - knowledgable, welcoming, accommodating, and a blast to spend time with. I own a small business in the hospitality industry, and was so impressed with the whole crew and experience. I also cannot say enough about Luz's food...from snacks to meals, every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and delicious.

our experiences on the boat, snorkeling, fishing, swimming, and visiting the islands were remarkable, and we left Faro feeling like we'd made three new friends. we very much hope to return (but if so, Charlie and Miguel had better prepare to finally lose a game of dice!)

our little group travels frequently, and the four of us agree that this was absolutely one of our favorite trips. the Faro and crew were not easy to leave, and I recommend...

My wife and I just returned from 4 nights on the Faro. Along with another couple we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Charlie, Luz and Miguel. The views were spectacular and the sailing always under control. We had a bit of rain, which the area hadn’t seen in a while, but we were kept dry and comfortable. Throughout our time the meals were delicious, a few times made from fish sold that day to Charley and Luz by local Guna fishermen who visited in their dugout canoes. Plenty of time for snacks and cocktails as well. We swam, snorkeled, paddle boarded and stopped at a handful of islands to walk and explore. Miguel was always there to assist. Just be warned: he is very good at dominoes! I was concerned the cabin might be too confining but with the fans, hatch and portholes it really wasn’t. The accommodations and logistics were spot on. We highly recommend this experience with the Faro crew!

We spent 5 days with Charlie, Luz, and Miguel on the Faro and had one of the best trips of our lives. They were incredibly gracious and accommodating and exceeded any expectations that I had. I expected that we would have loads of fresh seafood but Luz gave us meal after delicious meal of perfectly balanced and utterly delightful dishes. I expected the water and the islands to be beautiful but they were so much more stunning. I expected that the crew would guide us through the best things to do but Charlie and Miguel really took such amazing care of us, even when we got ourselves stranded or continually swam in the wrong direction like dummies. By the last day it really felt like we just lived with them on the Faro and it was so hard to leave. I can't emphasize enough the amount of fun we had or how wonderful our hosts were.
