Catamaran San Blas — Local services in Narganá

Spent two nights on the catamaran El Gitano del Mar with Jepi. It was a really good experience. Amazing food 3x days with fresh fruit and fish, and snacks in between (thank you Jay for accommodating to my gluten allergy). There is also an open bar (non alcoholic options as well). We also had a beach barbecue lunch, amazing!!!!

Sailing is so fun with a lot of opportunity to snorkel and paddle. We went to islands where we were the sole travelers, non-tourist areas. Possibility to choose what we wanted to do.

Cabins and the boat are well kept and clean. A lot of areas to chill outside (in/outside the shade). Own toilet and possibility for shower. Also possible to sleep outside under the stars if preferred.

For those that care, WiFi is good and strong. Jepi has a good music taste, but also possible to play your own music. Possible to charge your phone (preferably and understandably during the day bc the boat uses solar power)

Pick up and drop off with the driver and the water taxi was well arranged.

Very much worth the money.

We had an amazing experience! The accommodations were very comfortable and refreshing, whether we chose to sleep inside the cozy rooms, like we did the first night, or on the net at the front of the catamaran, where we got to go to sleep with an amazing clear sky full of stars and wake up to see the sunrise. The snorkeling was truly exceptional. Exploring the living coral reefs, full of colors and a huge variety of marine species, made it the best snorkeling experience I've ever had. Although I think maybe the highlight was swimming with two nurse sharks (harmless, of course) who came by the catamaran one of the days to say hi. The food was excellent, one meal better than the other. They had vegetarian options, and they were absolutely incredible, which is usually hard to find even in fancy restaurants in the city. The crew was phenomenal, always attentive and nice. I even purchased one of their Gitano del Mar shirts...

If you visit San Blas, there is no better way than on a boat. There are hundreds of islands and reefs to visit, and this company arranged a charter on Flying Ginny, a catamaran that took us to secluded beaches and otherwise inaccesible snorkeling sites. Aside from the incredible sites visited, the food and drinks prepared on the boat were extraordinary.The company also took care of arranging all our transportation from Panama City to the boat, which can be quite complicated. The experience was one of the best vacations ever....
