The last time I was there was over a decade ago. It was nice to see it being improved. The staff were friendly and available - though I still find being treated less than most expats but it’s sort of to be expected in PNG. But it’s a big improvement from most places. Surprised at how their security guards at Tahira greeted and talked to us at the gate life decent human beings. Kudos for the great customer service. The rooms are a massive improvement. Loved the designs and the decor. It’s a nice get away from the city. Recommend to anyone wanting to take a break outside of Port Moresby.

Beautiful island resort that offers great R&R. There's a free ferry that runs multiple times a day, an incredible dive shop to learn how to scuba dive, and plenty of relaxation areas. Would recommend even taking a day trip out here to bask in the views and the weather

For day trips, the best time to visit is on weekdays. The place tend to be crowded on weekends and holidays.

I was lucky enough to be able visiting this small island while on a business trip to PNG. While from the nature perspective it isn’t spectacular (compared to other parts of Papua New Guinea) it is a very nice place to spend some time, enjoy swimming,...
