Visited here on the way to Manu national Park from Cusco - great short little stop on the way to the wonders of the deep Amazon jungle. These 30+ old funeral towers (some of which have seen better days) are about 3 metres tall, situated at an altitude of 3,000m and were made by people from the Lapaca culture. They're mostly made from mud and grass bricks and were used as burial chambers during the 13th and 14th centuries.
