Amazon Jaguar Adventure & Lodge — Local services in Fernando Lores

Arriving on the Amazon lodge, I was immediately struck by the lush greenery and vibrant sounds of the jungle. After a warm welcome from the lodge staff, I settled into my comfortable accommodation nestled amidst the trees.

In the afternoon, we embarked on a guided walk through the rainforest. Our knowledgeable guide Alex pointed out various plant species, insects, and even a few elusive animals. The sheer diversity of life in the jungle was awe-inspiring, and I couldn't help but marvel at the intricate balance of nature.

As the sun began to set, we returned to the lodge for a delicious dinner featuring local Amazonian cuisine. The flavors were exotic and delicious, offering a true taste of the region. After dinner, I spent some time relaxing on the lodge's terrace, listening to the sounds of the jungle under the starlit sky.

After a hearty breakfast, we set out for a canoe trip along the river. Gliding silently through the water, we had the opportunity to spot various bird species, monkeys swinging through the trees, and even a few caimans basking in the sun along the riverbanks. It was awesome experience, allowing us to connect with the natural rhythm of the Amazon.

In the afternoon, we visited a nearby indigenous community, where we had the chance to learn about their traditional way of life. We participated in a cultural exchange, trying our hand at traditional crafts and games, and gaining insight into the rich heritage of the Amazonian people.

As the day drew to a close, we returned to the lodge for another delicious meal and spent the evening sharing stories around by the wey it was such a amzing tour i will never forget. And recomend Amazon...

Nous avions choisi avec soin la compagnie avec laquelle nous voulions vivre une expérience en Amazonie parce que nous souhaitions aller dans un endroit spécifique (TAMSHIYACU – TAHUAYO REGIONAL CONSERVATION AREA) et nous voulions absolument le faire avec une compagnie péruvienne. Nous savions qu'il s'agirait d'une portion importante de notre budget de voyage (5 semaines au Pérou avec une famille de trois générations), mais nos précédents voyages en Amérique latine nous portaient à croire que nous ne le regretterions pas. Et maintenant que nous l'avons fait, nous sommes convaincus que nous n'aurions pas pu mieux tomber! Alex est un guide extraordinaire (et bilingue!) qui aime l'Amazonie et qui souhaite partager son amour pour ce lieu, cette biodiversité exceptionnelle, la culture, les croyances et la vie des gens en ces lieux. Don Jairo et sa famille, qui nous ont accueillis dans leur superbe lodge, ont contribué à cet extraordinaire partage. Don Jairo a même emmené notre fils tous les jours pour vider son filet de pêche et il lui a fait goûter tous les poissons qu'ils ont attrapés ensemble. Dans tous les cas, nous avons largement profité des connaissances de nos guides. En fait, nous avons probablement tout aimé de notre expérience avec Amazon Jaguar Adventure & Lodge. Le lodge lui-même est intime (il n’y avait que deux bungalows, donc l’expérience était exclusive). Les chambres étaient parfaites, avec un balcon, un hamac, des lits confortables, des moustiquaires pour tenir éloigner les moustiques. Nous avons senti qu’Alex avait constamment à cœur de répondre à notre désir de découverte du lieu et nous n’avons jamais senti que nous étions des machines à sous à ses yeux. Nous avions plutôt l’impression que son amour pour le lieu l’emportait sur tout le reste. D’ailleurs, il a été professionnel jusqu’au bout, s’assurant à notre retour à Iquitos que notre hôte était là pour nous ouvrir. Bref, nous recommandons sans hésitation cette expérience, dont nous nous souviendrons certainement jusqu’à la fin de nos jours. Il suffit de fermer les yeux pour entendre tous ces bruits entremêlés qui occupent les jours et les nuits amazoniennes… Quelle chance...

I just returned from a 4-day trip to Amazon Jaguar Adventure & Lodge with nine friends, and we had the best time ever! We wanted to experience the Amazon rainforest to its fullest, and this lodge exceeded all our expectations.

Our guides, Freddie and Alex, were incredible—knowledgeable, friendly, and always ensuring we had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the variety of activities was impressive. There was something for everyone, so we were never bored.
