First of all, the drive all through the hills and rough terrain and all part of the fun adventure to get there! You true adventure campers will LOVE it! Plus, the extreme hills and roads will certainly keep the casual tourists away!!! Second, it's NOT FREE. Nor should it be free! It is an amazing piece of nature that they open to the public, so why not be happy about supporting the cause? Oh btw... it was php93 for me and my wife to park and enter the gate. lol As we descended down the steps, we could hear the river rushing below the tall tree line and then when we finally got to see the lagoon and the 25 meters waterfall, I was aghast and couldn't believe how pretty it was. Reality DEFINITELY exceeded my expectations of Vera Falls! 25 meters of pure clean crystal clear and ice cold water pouring down into the lagoon and certainly a welcomed experience on a 35C day! IF I could make one or two suggestions. I think it would be nice to have a boardwalk 'ramp' to enter and exit the water over the rocky bottom. Also, as many Philipinos do.... there was some trash floating in the lagoon and nobody seemed interested in picking up after themselves. How sad is that. So because of the careless actions of some, you might want to increase your entrance fees and have one or two people monitoring the falls area for people who's culture says it's ok to litter. As an experienced traveler and camper, would I recommend Vera Falls? Well, IF you find yourself in the area? HECK...

Itâs only a 10-minute walk down to the falls where you must walk across rocks. . This is not a place for someone who canât walk well. Iâm a white foreigner from the US, and I loved it. I would highly recommend going. I definitely will go again. Itâs definitely in the middle of nowhere, though. I would recommend looking at a few YouTube videos and show you the drive and whatâs...
