Disappointing Experience as a Frequent Customer at Centro Mall Cabuyao
As a frequent customer of Centro Mall in Cabuyao, I have always appreciated the convenience it offers, but my recent experiences have left me deeply frustrated and disheartened. On three separate occasions, I encountered a security guard (bald and short) who seems to profile customers based on the vehicle they drive, which is completely unacceptable.
The first issue arose when I was parking my 4-wheeled electric cart in the designated area, only for this guard to remove it and relocate it to the back of the mall, without any prior warning. There was no clear indication that only cars are allowed to park in the sheltered section, which is a policy that appears to favor car owners over others. Customers who choose to use lighter vehicles, like mine, are paying the same (or sometimes more) than car owners, yet we are treated with much less consideration.
On another occasion, I was with my 4-year-old daughter, and the same guard prevented me from parking close to the sheltered area. This resulted in us having to walk around 100 meters in scorching heat, which was completely unnecessary and unfair. It felt like we were being penalized simply because I wasn't driving a car.
What makes this even worse is that the discriminatory behavior of this guard seems to extend to other customers as well. I have witnessed elderly customers and parents with young children being subjected to the same profiling, while other guards have shown more understanding and compassion, allowing them to park close to the entrance if they see a parent or elderly person in need.
This behavior is completely unacceptable and needs to be addressed. No customer, regardless of the vehicle they drive, should feel discriminated against or made to suffer unnecessary inconvenience. I hope the management of Centro Mall takes this issue seriously and ensures that all customers, regardless of how they choose to travel to the mall, are treated with respect...
