Sadly to gain a good review it must include the full experience.

It only get a 2 star because of the setting of the golf course and some impressive hole designs, but sadly that is where it finishes.

Some of the water features lakes are badly maintained with little water in them and some having tree trunks and grass growing in the empty areas

The cart paths are not good at all and certainly not the best to walk on - better to walk on the grass. I walked the whole course almost 7miles - our caddy was happy as they went in the cart for most of the round.

The bunkers are a little hit and miss and whilst it is understandable they have to water the course - someone should be raking the bunkers.

Some of the fairways have sections covered in leaves and on one particular hole there was an attempt at clearing into a great pile - which is on the fairway not far from the green.

The greens are very good - fairly flat, but absolutely fast so beware

The fairways and the first cut rough is also reasonable standard.

Now for the Negatives.

The entrance to the site needs better signage - we nearly drove by it.

The road to the clubhouse as to be the worst I have ever experienced anywhere in the world - very badly maintained (see videos).

The bag drop is OK

The road surface around the clubhouse is poor to say the least.

The clubhouse looks impressive but looks can be deceiving and on this occasion that is true (see the video)

The clubhouse is dark - they seem to be running it down with no focus on the customer.

The golf shop is closed - with thought this could be made more useful rather than a small desk for registration.

The locker rooms are not bad - but you have to pay 200php deposit? But as you enter no towels etc are on view (see image) so not enticing for use. The showers etc are tired looking and need more attention. There was 1 tap that was just constantly running and could not be turned off.

The washrooms especially the Men's was very bad - dark and in the cubicles not even a seat on one of the toilet cubickes and the one that did you struggled to lock.

There is NO FOOD available at the clubhouse.

There are limited drinks served by the cleaner.

Whilst the caddies were OK some lacked experience and not focused on the player - with some asking other caddies for advice - so you could not really rely on them. The caddies also could have been presented better with a more consistent dress code.

WOULD I RECOMMEND? The course itself is quite good but the rest of the experience is not - so give it a go but go prepared with food and drinks.

WILL I RETURN? - YES possibly with friends but mainly for the break at nearby...

The fairways and greens are incredibly well maintained given how isolated and uncrowded this place is. I came during the rainy season so that might have explained why there weren't many people. Not that I am complaining, it's always nice to have the course to yourself.

However, while the fairways and greens are incredibly well maintained, everything else is slowly deteriorating. The cart paths are bumpy and breaking at various points, the clubhouse is deserted, dated and the roof was leaking. You can tell the place has seen better days. I'd say the saving grace for the disappointing state of amenities would definitely be the staff. The staff from the bag drop, reception, caddies and locker room were all very friendly and helpful. Service can often make you forget what a place might lack in quality of amenities.
