Mount Madja-as — Local services in Culasi

This is Mt. Madjaas - known to be the highest peak in the Panay Island. What I like about the hike is that almost 3/4 of the trail is covered with trees. This mountain is also well-known for its bonsai forest where we can find the bonsai trees exhibiting a crown-shyness phenomenon. Very Magical. It also has a great campsite just by the cool Bantang River.

This is one of the best major hikes I’ve been to. One of the most interesting ones also because of the myths and the actual experiences we had during our hike which gave us goosebumps. Truly magical indeed.

Many more reasons for me to love this mountain, trail are most on forest area, no need to worry the heat of the sun. Water source are anywhere no need to bring big water container. Many waterfalls, bonsai forest, pitcher plant...
