It was raining in El Nido, and we werenât sure whether to take the 40km scooter ride to this beach. Iâm so glad we decided to go! After just 10km, the sun was already out. The ride itself was stunningâmountains, rice fields, buffalos, and egrets along the way. The last 10km is unpaved and a bit bumpy, so take it slow, especially downhill.
The beach is absolutely beautifulâsoft, white-ish sand and clear blue water. The main beach is wide and deep, with plenty of space to relax. The sand stretches far, making it feel even more open and peaceful. We walked to the left after entering and found some rocks; crossing them led us to a hidden smaller beach where we were completely alone. The main beach was also empty, with just a few locals passing by occasionally.
Swimming at the smaller beach was greatâjust sand, no rocks. Snorkeling wasnât the best; the water was clear, but we didnât see any fish in the first 100 meters. However, watching how the waves shaped the sand was pretty cool.

While itâs not a remote jungle beachâthereâs actually a pretty big village behind itâthe water here is crystal clear, and for me, it was the best spot to swim in this area. Itâs much nicer to swim here than at some of the more popular beaches further south. Getting here isnât exactly super easy, but during the dry season, the road is bumpy but fine, even on a scooter.
