Immersing in the Kalinga culture and then climbing their blessed mountain is one of my highlights early 2019. Rappelling experience too is a feat that I was able to do.

The locals are very warm and accomodating. They have answered all the inquiries regarding their way of life and they gladly teach you how they do it not only in words, but in action - they will teach you how!

Stopped here to look for a room - things must have changed since the lonely planet book's review a few years ago! Hard to find anyone to show us the rooms. Upon seeing them we wanted to run away, in a basement, a musty dungeon-like, prison cell atmosphere down there! I would avoid at all costs...cross the foot bridge in town and stay at Lup-Lupa, a very pleasant 2 nights...
