Aklan River is the longest river in Aklan and third in Panay. It begins in the town of Libacao and traverses various towns until it flows out to its mouth into Sibuyan Sea. The head ("ueo") of the River is found in Libacao and they're celebrating for it through fiesta. The River has various tributaries and one of them is the Madalag River. Aklan River is important because it is use as means of transportation through bamboo rafting ("balsa") inorder to bring their produce to the town.
