I think this beautiful place has undergone rehabilitation for a long time, but it is now open to the public. Some previous reviews rated this place 1 star just because they couldn't cliff dive and swim in this place, but now you can definitely swim and cliff dive here. I recommend renting a motorcycle for an easier tour around the island and an easier way to get to this spot. They have local guides before entering the Salagdoong beach, so you can definitely ask some questions there if the place is open for swimming and cliff diving. There is just a little walk down to the beach because vehicles are only allowed if you have senior citizens with you.
Overall, this place is 10/10! The beach is beautiful, and the cliffs are safe for cliff diving. They have a lifeguard on duty on the cliffs and the lifeguard there is very helpful. He even took a picture of us. I recommend that you search on the internet ahead of time to know the time of the high tide and the condition of the weather before going there, so you can really...
Read moreBefore reaching the place you'll pass through Siquijors's counterpart of manmade forest in Bohol, but in lesser scale, more like a cement road lined with mahogany trees. At the end of the road is Salagdoong beach, P50 entrance fees, P20 parking fee, dotted with cement picnic huts (for rental) and some accommodations if you wanted to stay overnight along its short coast. This is a good area to snorkel as the blue green water is relatively deep. The sand is off white, gravelly in some areas, intertidal zone is corally as well; the comfort room is in a state of disrepair, a large function hall was closed, there are some booths selling coffee, dirty ice cream, and refreshments. Highlight would be the stand alone islet, with 3-4 gazebos on top and some diving platforms of varying height. Nice place to swim, dive, snorkel, and while your time away prior to your next...

We spent over an hour here because we loved the atmosphere and surroundings. I even had a relaxing nap under the shade of the trees. The beach had a mix of sand and corals.
While my boyfriend tried cliff diving, I decided not to. I was a bit disappointed that the slide was gone, but I'm glad they're building a new spot for cliff diving that's lower. 💓
You can also buy souvenirs, food, and drinks here. They have cottages and comfort rooms, too.
We didn't have a chance to snorkel, but the water was clear enough to see what's beneath...
