Panam Pangan Island has powdery white sand like of Boracay. The water is prestine and a good place for photoshoot and was dubbed as the longest sand bar in Ph with an approximately 3km creacent shape white sandbar during low tide. The island is quite far from Bongao and there are stilt houses of badjaos nearby. I’m just worried though that this place will be polluted if the community will be not taught on solid waste management. Maybe, the government can come up with a livelihood product out of plastics that they can teach the Badjao to lessen dumping of garbage into the sea. I know this would take a while but starting with a small act on this can change a lot. Just a quick tip, better start island hopping as early as possible so you have an ample time to enjoy the beach and can dropby Sangay Siapu island.

One of the longest sandbars in the Philippines. Fine powdery white sands that is most noticeable during a low tide. There is a military encampment in the island which makes the place secure. Small huts/cottages are available for use. Still virgin and unexploited. The only downfall is the long boat ride going to the island since the boat also rides on the sea's current. Best sandbar experience for me.

Late review. Tawi-tawi as a whole is an awesome experience. with awesome people. Traversing the waters going to and from the island is quite tricky since some areas have very shallow waters hence difficult to speed up. All you need is a good boatsman, a little bit of patience and a full load of openness to this place and its people. Travel date: Jan2020
