If you want to go to bugtong bato falls, it is located in Tibiao, antique. We went there from Culasi, Antique for a 15 minute ride using van from the terminal. We paid the Van around 20 pesos. Once we reached the intersection, there is a terminal of single motorcycles called habal habal. The cost for ride going to a sub part of barangay called sitio is 7 pesos per person. If you are 2 packs for the motorcycle, it would be 50 pesos per person. Once you have arrived in their sitio, go straight to the tourism desk to ask for tour guide. It is a must to have a tour guide because going to the falls is strenous and there are different paths which you could be lost aside for safety reasons. We trek to the mountainside based upon our endurance for about 30 mins. You need to have a staff or pole as you go along into the mountains because the roads are rough and steep also there are hurdles when you climb up and when you trek down. Once you have arrived the falls, there are 3 falls. The first one and the third one have deep basin which the water level is high above the head while the second falls is just shallow. You need pack some bottled water and pack some food also because theres no food and breverage kiosk. Also keep in mind that you must not throw your garbage elsewhere. There are no restrooms or private cubicle to change your clothes, so better you have a big towel to change your west garments after you took bath in the falls because you are going into virgin falls with touch of nature , not a sophisticated and resort theme like waterfalls. Intuition and resourcefulness are essential. The cost for the tour guide is 250 pesos as for this date or if you like your tour guide, you could give him or her some tip aside from the pay. Also you need to pay the environmental fee. When you return back home, you will pay another 20 pesos for the motorcycle going to the middle intersection boundary between the sitio and from the terminal then another 75 pesos per person or 50 pesos if you are 2 people riding in one motorcyle going back from where you started. Best season to travel to bugtong bato falls is during rainy seasom to appreciate its wayer flowing. It is also good during dry season but during dry season or hot season, the water flows less from its top. Best time to go there and take photos is around 8am in the morning or 3pm in the afternoon.
