Muzeum Pisanki — Local services in gmina Ciechanowiec

We visited this museum after finding it on Google Maps while vacationing in the area. It's actually listed as two places, one being Muzeum Pisanki (Decorated Easter Eggs) and the other as Muzeum Rolnictwa (Agricultural Museum). Both exhibits are collocated and there is only a single (very reasonable) fee.

It could not be a more beautiful place and perfect for us, coming from America and wanting to learn about the history of Poland. There are relocated original dwellings on site which depict the way of life for peasants and higher classes. In comparison, there is also a dwelling showing the home of a Belorussian family.

As other reviewers have stated, the grounds are beautiful to explore whether on a quest to learn about history or simply spending time walking the grounds looking at the various plants, the beehives, and the resident animals.

An English-language audio guide is available, and I highly recommend it. We also had a person who guided us through some of the museum and did an excellent job. I also highly recommend doing this if the service is available.

There are restaurants and bakeries and a large hotel nearby, and it is well worth an overnight visit...
