Wygląda na to, że Mapy Google nieprecyzyjnie pokazują źródło i bieg rzeki Szotkówki. Można to usprawiedliwiać tym, że nazwę "Szotkówka" mają dwa hydronimy: (1) Szotkówka - rzeka, dług. 21,29 km, prawy dopływ Olzy, wypływa w Świerklanach, uchodzi do Olzy w Godowie. (2) Szotkówka - potok, lewy dopływ Kolejówki (→ Szotkówka → Olza), wypływa na płn. od Wilchw (część miasta Wodzisław Śląski), uchodzi do Kolejówki w Połomii, gmina Mszana....
