At 2122 m above sea level, Krzesanica is the highest peak of the four Czerwone Wierchy and marks the border between Poland and Slovakia. Unlike the gentler, grassy summits of Kopa Kondracka and Małołączniak, Krzesanica is known for its distinctive rocky edge, which drops steeply on the southern side into the Slovak side of the Tatras. The name itself comes from the word krzesany, meaning "chopped" or "sheer."

The summit offers expansive 360° views – over the Western Tatras, the valleys below, and deep into Slovak territory. It’s a rewarding place to pause for a moment, especially on a clear day.

Najwyższy z czterech szczytów należących do Czerwonych Wierchów, jak również m. in. do Diademu Polskich Gór. Osobiście wybrałem pętlę: Ciemniak - Krzesanica - Małołączniak - Kondracka Kopa.

Szlak zacząłem z Kirów, Doliną Kościeliską idziemy jakieś 1,5 km i przy moście skręcamy w szlak czerwony, który doprowadzi nas na pierwszy szczyt CZW, czyli Ciemniak. Choć droga jest raczej wygodna i w większości zacieniona, trzeba przyznać, że jest to najtrudniejszy odcinek trasy, ponieważ na odcinku niespełna 7 km pokonamy ponad 1200 m przewyższenia. Niedługo przed Ciemniakiem, na wysokości skały Piec zaczynają się świetne widoki, m. in. na Giewont, muszę przyznać, że ogromne wrażenie robi paleta jesiennych barw!

Ogólnie cała pętla wynosi prawie 18 km, na samą Krzesanicę z Kirów, powinniśmy dotrzeć w jakieś 4:30 h.
