The Palace at Osowa Sien is everything you could dream of, and more. As a bride, finding a venue to match up to your wildest dreams (those ones that Disney and fairytales inspired) seems impossible. I learnt during the wedding planning process that reality often crushes those wildest dreams , but this venue is an exception. The first thing we chose when planning our wedding was the venue; we hadn't even set a date and yet, when I stumbled across this palace on a random Airbnb scroll, I fell in love, and all the other pieces fell into place. As two Australians living in Finland at the time, with most of our nearest and dearest on the other side of the globe, this wasn't the most logical decision. But heck, we have no regrets about having our big day here!

One of my favourite moments during our stay was the arrival of each guest. Every single person had their minds blown on entry, and again when they took their first bite of our welcome dinner. This shared feeling of awe did not stop at any point of our stay. Every room they explored: awe. Every meal they ate: awe. The wine we tasted: so much awe (particularly from me; and now, no other wines will ever match up). Every single experience here is so meticulously created, with so much love and care, that you can't help but be amazed that you get to experience it.

Jamie and Matty create absolute magic with what they do, and manage to be fantastic humans at the same time. We were in such good hands, and the help that they gave during the planning process, and during our stay, was incredible.

We spent four nights here, and this felt like such a great length of time. During our stay we had the casual dinner (incredible), the breakfast (also insanely good), and the fairytale feast (MIND BLOWING). We had some very complex dietary requirements, and these were catered for without hesitation (the usually-unemotional partner of our soy-free, dairy-free, gluten-free guest teared up when he realised during our first meal how much food was safe for his partner to enjoy). Personally, my favourite experience was the wine tasting. The care put into the selections was so evident, and the love for wine that both Matty and Jamie have made the experience even more worthwhile. Plus, they're just wonderful people to be around!

Any issues we had during our stay, the hosts were so happy to help. One of our guests had a birthday on the day of our wedding, and they created the most beautiful bohemian picnic so she still had a moment to celebrate her birthday alongside the wedding craziness. According to her, she had the best salad of her life in amongst the spread, and she's still trying (and failing) to replicate it. We had a thunderstorm the night of the wedding (it's meant to be good luck, and so far, that feels pretty true!) and before I'd even had my first mimosa in the getting ready process the most stunning indoor ceremony had been organised to replace what could no longer be an outdoor ceremony. Any problems, any questions, and the hosts and the palace staff were so speedy and so willing to help.

Every single guest walked away from their stay at this venue a little bit heartbroken to leave, completely floored by how wonderful it was, and a little bit changed by the Palace of Osowa Sien.

I know for all of us, we're just waiting for the day we get to go back!

I cannot say enough good things about Pałac Osowa Sień. I have been three times (2020, 2022, 2023) and each time has been like a dream. The photos of the palace do not come close to conveying what a magical place it is. In particular, it's difficult to convey the sheer scale of the place -- the height of the ceilings, the thickness of the walls, the size of the rooms, etc. etc. It really feels like you're in a castle. In a venue like this it would be so easy to decorate the place in some kind of formulaic way or use furnishings and fixtures that are primarily designed to withstand house parties. But instead Jamie and Matt have decorated the place so beautifully -- it feels luxurious and so classy.

Wonderful though the castle is, the thing that makes experiences at the castle so special is the way that Jamie and Matt run it. They put a huge amount of effort into making the castle feel magical (like finding out when you'll arrive so they can light the candles for your arrival-- 100s of candles throughout the castle, including all the way up to the top of the tower!). It's these extra touches that make the experience so special -- arriving to a candle-lit castle sets the tone for beautiful weekend.

One of the things I most appreciate is how Jamie and Matt run the castle while you're there. They are essentially invisible so you really feel that you have the castle to yourself, just for you and and your friends, but at the same time they are incredibly responsive such that if you message them with a question, they will almost always respond within a couple of minutes, with a helpful and thoughtful response.

I should also note how helpful Jamie and Matt are before the rental starts, providing lots of helpful information and also helping set up various activities (e.g., massages, horse riding) and features to make the weekend run smoothly (e.g., maids to clean the castle in the morning, food waiting in the pantry) at very reasonable prices (again, it would be all too easy to pump up the prices for these things but they don't).

It is so clear that Jamie and Matt love the palace themselves. They put so much time, thought, energy, and love into it and into making it even better. Over the years, they have continued to tinker with the palace and how they run it, all of which are directed to improving the experience of their guests.

In short, I cannot think of another place that combines such a beautiful location with hosts so dedicated to ensuring you enjoy that location to...

A Magical Retreat with Exceptional Hospitality

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a delightful week at the Palace at Osawa Sien, where we celebrated our wedding surrounded by our families and friends. From the moment we set foot in this enchanting place, we knew we were in for an extraordinary experience.

The palace's beauty was matched only by the warm and inviting ambiance of its beautifully decorated rooms. It felt like stepping into a world of elegance and luxury, providing the perfect setting for a fairytale-like stay.

We cannot speak highly enough of the owners, Matt and Jamie, whose exceptional hospitality made our time at the palace truly unforgettable. They were always ready to assist us, ensuring that every aspect of our stay and wedding was executed seamlessly. What impressed us the most was the care they took in accommodating our needs and wishes, particularly when it came to the wedding arrangements.

At our wedding, the decoration was breathtaking, and it's worth mentioning that the food served during the event was exclusively vegan and vegetarian, which was important to us. Matt and Jamie went above and beyond to incorporate all our preferences without any hesitation or difficulties.

Our group travelled with some dogs and the Palace at Osawa Sien demonstrated its pet-friendly nature by providing dog beds, blankets, and bowls.

In conclusion, if you're searching for an idyllic retreat that combines elegance, exceptional service, and a truly pet-friendly environment, the Palace at Osawa Sien is the perfect choice.

Thank you, Matt and Jamie, for your dedication in creating such a remarkable haven. Your passion for hospitality and attention to detail truly shines, and we are immensely grateful for the memories we've cherished during our...

We had our wedding at the Palace this past December and cannot recommend this location highly enough as a wedding venue! Jamie and Matty truly transformed the Palace into a winter wonderland, creating a space for our guests that felt relaxing and cozy while still incredibly elegant and special. With all our guests coming from overseas, the many wonderfully decorated rooms throughout the castle enabled everybody to truly unwind and get to know each other. The food throughout our stay was just as stellar as the decor - from the absolutely delicious, locally-sourced brunches to the wedding feast, everything exceeded our expectations! For the dinners we had externally catered, Jamie provided expert recommendations and worked closely with each caterer to ensure everything flowed smoothly. Additionally, Jamie ensured all our dietary needs, to include vegan and vegetarian, were taken care of in excellent fashion. For the wedding itself, Jamie made the planning process as easy as can be. Her passion and talent for hosting truly shone through as she routinely went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of perfectly - from arranging shuttles for guests, to coordinating our yoga teacher and massage therapist, to patiently answering every last question we had. If you’re searching for a truly unique, intimate location for a wedding, look no further! We had the time of our lives the few days we were there and will be reminiscing for a long time. We were so sad to leave and will definitely have to return again. Many thanks to Jamie and Matty for crafting an unforgettable wedding weekend! Photo credit to: @mybestphoto.pl
