Lovely mall, but disappointing experience for dog owners.

The mall in Leiria is modern, clean, and has a great selection of shops, it’s a really nice place to visit. However, our experience was unexpectedly uncomfortable.

There were no visible signs indicating that dogs weren’t allowed, if there had been, I would have absolutely respected the rules, as I always do.

Shortly after entering with my small, well-behaved 8kg poodle puppy, I was approached by security and escorted out to the parking area.

I was asked to stay next to the car, making sure I was visible through the security cameras. I then had to wait standing outside for 20 minutes until my father finished shopping and could come unlock the car.

It was a disappointing and disheartening experience.

Many modern malls today are becoming more accommodating of small dogs, especially when carried or in strollers.

Even just clearer signage or a more empathetic approach would’ve made...

There are a ton of stores to choose from here. From your staples like Zara, Pull&Bead, of H&M, the selection of clothing stores will not disappoint. In addition, the food court has a huge variety of restaurants to choose from. You can get your fast food of McDonald's or Burger King, or get authentic Portuguese food. There's also a movie theatre located in the food court area. The reason I don't give this place five stars is because the parking. The parking garage is often crowded, and more times than not, people park on the line or are not caring nor paying attention to those around them. Other than that, Leiria Shopping is a great place to stop at for an afternoon...

LeiriaShopping, já foi o que era. Era perfeito, não muito grande, não muito pequeno, bem localizado. Por causa de certos acordos que impedem que haja concorrência a este shopping, nesta cidade e grande zona circundante; o LeiriaShopping deixou de querer saber se tinha uma boa oferta de lojas ou não, pois não tem a concorrência para o manter atual. Já fecharam imensas lojas que eram únicas na sua categoria, para abrirem ou outra loja de Ténis, ou outra loja de Capas para telemovel. Lojas como Gato Preto, Flying Tiger, Casa das Peles, e muitas outras fecharam ou estão para fechar, e em vez de darem espaço a algo melhor ou igualmente bom, abre mais uma só para preencher o espaço. É triste, muito triste. E junto com a degradação que o Shopping vai começando a ter, o que não admira visto que tem 'abastecido' famílias que todas num raio de 20 km têm este como O shopping a que vão, começa a ter visível aparência de velho e desgastado, combinado com os maus cheiros que quase sempre tem à entrada, e aquilo que quase ninguém deve saber - as baratas na zona de alimentação.

Ponham-se a pau! Pois se continuam assim, não hão de prosperar por muito mais.
