A small and easy to access area for picnics where you can make your own fires and make some barbecues. There is a car parking area just aside the road. The place has also some trails of levadas that you can enjoy the lovely Laurissilva. When the weather is cloudy, you can feel that you're in the rain forest. You can find it in your way up to Pico Ruivo, the highest place on Madeira.

Excelente parque para ir un fin de semana o cualquier día simplemente a hacer un picnic. Cuenta con mesas, parrilleras para hacer asado/parrilla. También tienen unas jaulas donde hay unas aves que puedes apreciar. En las instalaciones hay varios tipos de senderos para caminar, baño, estacionamiento, cabañas para alquilar (con antelación, según disponibilidad y condiciones de la web oficial del Ente regulador. La policía forestal tiene sede dentro del parque. Es un sitio muy recomendable para ir en familia y/o con amigos y tener un excelente día reunidos compartiendo. Si tienes mascotas, te recomiendo gustosamente llevarlas, ya que se divertirán y tendrán un lindo paseo. Yo, las veces que he ido, he llevado a mis tres niñas perrunas.
