É um espaço onde a história está presente. Pertence às Linhas de Torres, onde o nosso país foi defendido das Invasões Francesas. O espaço está bem arranjado, o visitante pode percorrê-lo vendo e sentindo a história que faz parte de nós. A paisagem é maravilhosa, vendo-se das colinas e de um miradouro com a estrutura de um forte que incorpora um marco geodésico. Um campo aeólico cerca também Sobral de Monte Agraço que se avista dali.

Much more to see than I expected. The viewing platform with indications of other forts in the First Line is great. Bit of a mission to get there on a bike but well worth the effort. Section of the military road is to be seen too. No charge -...

Para quem gosta da História de Portugal e se interessa por épocas cruciais, o Forte de Alqueidão transporta-nos às Invasões Francesas e ao sistema defensivo representado nas Linhas de Torres. Todo o percurso está muito bem assinalado e mostra a arqueologia militar da época, destacando-se o Paiol é a casa do governador além de identificar toda a zona territorial envolvente! Perto, existem outros forted igualmente interessantes....
