Went there in the winter when it was very cold (-20 degrees Celsius). We wanted to go on top at 2,500 m , but because it was snowing abundantly we had to stop at 2000 m. There is a restaurant and you can have a hot chocolate, some mulled wine or eat .

Se întinde pe 5300 kmp și cuprinde munții Parâng, Șureanu,Cindrei și Lotrului. Alături de munții Latoritei și Căpățânii, formează grupa majoră centrală a Carpaților meridionali. Sunt multe vârfuri: Parângul Mare(2519 m), Stoinita, Cârja și Gemănarea, peste 2400 m, și încă 15, peste 2300 m. Sunt numeroase cascade, peșteri,chei , păduri și peste 20 de lacuri glaciare. Noi am reușit să ajungem la lacurile Cârja,Verde,Silvei și lacul Mic. Efortul a fost mare,am văzut rotor de avion, am găsit fructe și ciuperci, satisfacția pe măsură. Pentru a cunoaște împrejurimile, merită să vă răsfățați mai multe zile !

Se întinde pe 5300 kmp și cuprinde munții Parâng, Șureanu,Cindrei și Lotrului. Alături de munții Latoritei și Căpățânii, formează grupa majoră centrală a Carpaților meridionali. Sunt multe vârfuri: Parângul Mare(2519 m), Stoinita, Cârja și Gemănarea, peste 2400 m, și încă 15, peste 2300 m. Sunt numeroase cascade, peșteri,chei , păduri și peste 20 de lacuri glaciare. Noi am reușit să ajungem la lacurile Cârja,Verde,Silvei și lacul Mic. Efortul a fost mare,am văzut rotor de avion, am găsit fructe și ciuperci, satisfacția pe măsură. Pentru a cunoaște împrejurimile, merită să vă răsfățați mai multe zile !

5 stars only for the amazing place. The huge potential for tourism is ignored and the place is not managed at all. A few discrete entrepreneurs and maybe some conflict of interest are keeping this wonderful...
