Visa office of this consulate felt worse than the USA one during the Cold war era. It is an absolute shame for a country/culture whose core value is always strive to provide an excellent customer service.

I was there to apply for a visa for my mother and what I felt was total lack of respect and considerations of applicants. Also, preference seems to be given to travel firms and travel agents. On 7th October 2019 the consulate managed to accept ONLY 33 visitors with 17 of them being individual applicants. The first individual submission was accepted at 10:53am which was 53 minutes after the opening of the visa section to applicants while applicants started queuing from 6:15am.

The visa officer has no guts to face the applicants and hide their face and cynical comments behind the fully tinted glass. The call center personnel seems to be knowledgeful and provide clear enough answers, however demonstrate very little of customer service skills. It is also NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS to question me why I decided to get mom a visa 9 days before our travel and not 2 months beforehand.

We walked away there with a strong decision to give Japan a miss this time and go to South Korea instead. And I am not even sure that I will ever want to go back to Japan. Настоящее безобразие! Сначала почти час мурыжили на "КПП", а потом - еще два уже на приеме документов. Вдумайтесь: просто принести уже готовые бумажки! И три часа! ТРИ! (И это у меня еще все документы были в порядке. А если не дай Бог у вас что-то будет не так, то я вам искренне сочувствую). И что же? Все равно не успели! Сказали прийти после обеда. Мне делать больше нечего, что ли?! Короче, весь день пропал. А ведь это только подача документов! Потом же еще нужно было ехать визу забирать... Просто свинство! Зачем там два окна, если работает только одно? Чертов совок! Никогда больше в Японию не поеду. Получение визы - адский...

Абсолютное наплевательское отношение к людям, дама которая сидит за стеклом просто тешит свое самолюбие или просто изверг, по всем вопросам отмалчиваеться!!! Нервно клацая степлером,, стоял в очереди из 47человек, стоял в очереди чтобы занять очередь!!!!, отстоял 54минуты, писарь на кпп просто не шевелиться, зашёл, теперь нет талонов, спросить когда будут нет возможности, тк дама за стеклом очень высокомерна и не разговоричива,, вот стоим в очереди ждём непонять чего, будут талоны нет, незнаю,,,.
