The Island of Saint Christopher (Saint Kitts) is part of the Nation of St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean 20 minutes by Air from Antigua and Barbuda. An Island although not relatively as large as most islands in the Greater Antilles, this Island Nation in the Lesser Antilles offers quite a lot of Activities and Great sights to do and see. The History and Beauty of the Island (known as Sugar City for the Sugar Industry once prevalent) is a treat to be enjoyed and relished.
The infrastructural development on the Island is quite visible and impressive, there remains some gentle reminders of what once was making the development in a relatively short period even more impressive. The forward thinking mindset of the decision makers are evident in many aspects of Life on the Island and visiting Saint Kitts something new and fresh is always seen. The places of Interest are well, interesting, well kept and maintained.
The people are quite friendly and just a bit outspoken in a good way making me feel quite at home. I know we live in a real world however I had zero safety concerns and felt at home and had a strange feeling of belonging. The local hospitality is part of the charm of the picturesque, Historic and quite Scenic Island, a great seascape view is almost around every corner.
Saint Kitts to me felt like Home and exploration of the many facets of the country is a natural and rewarding activity for anyone in...

Its like they are doing you a favor to serve you overpriced drinksn food and then add 22 percent taxes . I have travelled all over Caribbean and after few days .Am bored .There is not much to do her n nothing that would brimg me back for 2nd visit. St Lucia or Grenada would have been a better choice... Compare the local to this island .Nobody smiles here . Travel to Atlantic side you will see alot of poverty n very dirty littered with old cars n junk everywhere. They need to clean up these island of abandoned house ... Some of the views are breathtaking from up on mountains but that's about it Very little entertainment for tourist visiting there island. The lobster n conch along with fresh whole snapper is outstanding. Overall not worth the cost involved alot of nicer island that treat you as there guest ... They need to caterer to tourist. Most people we talked to feel...
Read moreSold out to cruise ships. Supply ships have to wait at sea until there are no cruise ships at the dock. They want to build another dock...not for supplies, but for more cruise ships!!! These visitors rarely venture outside their small bubble of "specialty " (rubbish) shops built right at the dock. But why should they? The town itself is a dirty wreck, with no money being spent to preserve the historic buildings and energize the area. The local people working at the beach bars have dealt with so many rude tourists that they have lost their polite and friendly manner. The old sugar cane train is packed too tightly with sweaty bodies, not a nice experience. And the island is expensive. How the local people are able to afford to live is a mystery. Boo, hiss. This is big business tourism, not...
