DO NOT VISIT!!!!!!!!! Recently visited this establishment as planned to do with my wife for our fifth year anniversary. Got there and was amazed by the wonderful greetings from the staff upon entry to the building. After the nice introduction to the products by one of the staff members I proceeded to buy some chocolates that where very good and also tested a cologne that I latet purchased. This cologne was the only thing I bought for myself while in St Lucia. After returning to Castries where we were staying, i opened the cologne only to find that I was something totally different to the scent that I've tried in store. I later contacted Cacoa St Lucia and informed them of the problem pertaining to the said cologne , was later contacted by them and was told that it was a batch problem with the colognes. I then instructed that I would like s refund seeing that what I purchased was totally different to what I received . I received a call the following day stating I would have to revisit Cacoa St Lucia for my refund. The cologne cost $81us and the taxi from Castries to Belvedere, Canaries $180 us . After having to return Cacoa St Lucia Bad smelling cologne at my expense to get back way less of a refund compared to the taxi money spent , all I got from the very unprofessional manager Maria is that the problem is on the manufacturers of the perfume and not Cacao St Lucia. No satisfaction No accountability No customer service skills No remorse for people's feelings, time or finances . I would not recommend this place not even for a dog to be treated. With the bad is also some good . Staff member Ziedel was very professional and transparent. The manager needs to stop using her staff as prawns and take accountability for the mistakes made and not having her staff to deal with complaints that are above their control . The place that gave me the best greetings in St Lucia also gave me my worst experience ever also . Will never recommend and also suggest that people find a better chocolate facility to attend upon visiting the island of st lucia. To the staff at Cacoa St Lucia with the exceptance of the horrible manager, find somewhere else to work so u wont have to do your managers job. Spent $180 usd to get back $81 usd and all fault was at Cacoa St Lucia in...
Read moreMy visit to CACOA in St. Lucia was an absolute treat for both the senses and the taste buds. This charming chocolate-making experience exceeded my expectations in every way, offering a perfect blend of education, fun, and, of course, delicious chocolate.
The first thing that struck me was the impeccable presentation. CACOA's setting was not only inviting but also beautifully designed to showcase the art and science of chocolate making. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the intoxicating aroma of cocoa, setting the stage for a memorable adventure.
The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the opportunity to make our own chocolate bars. The hands-on experience was both educational and interactive. The staff at CACOA guided us through every step of the process, from roasting and grinding the cocoa beans to adding our preferred mix-ins like nuts, dried fruits, and spices. It was incredibly satisfying to witness the transformation of raw ingredients into a silky, velvety chocolate concoction. This immersive experience allowed us to appreciate the craftsmanship behind chocolate production and gave us a newfound respect for this delectable treat.
What made CACOA stand out even more was the passion and knowledge of their staff. They shared intriguing insights into the history of cocoa cultivation in St. Lucia and its significance to the island's culture. Their enthusiasm was contagious, making the tour not just informative but also engaging and entertaining.
As for the final result – the chocolate bars we created – they were simply divine. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, and the customizable aspect allowed us to tailor the chocolate to our own preferences. The quality of the cocoa used was evident in every mouthful, and I couldn't resist indulging in more than a few bites.
In conclusion, CACOA in St. Lucia offers a delightful experience for chocolate lovers and curious travelers alike. The great presentation, interactive chocolate-making process, and the passion of the staff combine to create an unforgettable adventure. If you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth while gaining a deeper appreciation for the art of chocolate making, a visit to CACOA is an...
Read moreWe recently visited this place as part of a Chocolate & Rum day excursion organised via our Resort with an independent operator. To be honest, I wasn’t too keen to do it as I’ve previously done something similar with Hotel Chocolat and frankly the whole tasting different percentages of dark chocolate is quite boring and not appealing as whilst I do have a love for chocolate, that is not it. But my wife was keen so I just went with it.
The premises is very nice, clean and products are well presented in the shop area. The staff are also well presented with very clean uniforms but at the same time seem a little bored. They talked us through things, smelled a few beans etc, poured chocolate into our own moulds then sprinkled on various additional ingredients that were there like chilli, salt etc. you then wait in the shop for about 30-45 mins or you can go upstairs to the cafe area which fair play has some stunning views. Then once our moulds have set we get our chocolate bars and leave. My one was inedible due to the chilli and salt, I’d put on too much but I’d just copied what everybody else was doing!
Personally I wouldn’t of bothered with it, and wouldn’t go again but my wife enjoyed it a bit more so I’ve given it 3-stars on that account plus the fact it was well turned...
