Read moreOne of the best experiences I've had in South KSA (Jazan region). The valley of Wadi Lajab is a canyon about 5 kilometers long, situated about 80 kms away from Jizan city. The most incredible feature of Wadi Lajab is the fact that it delivers fresh water more regularly than any other wadi in Saudi Arabia. There is a stream that runs at the bottom of the canyon!
It is believed that Majnu from the famous "Layla Majnu" (in which the hero Majnu bin Qais dies) came from Wadi Lajab region.
Piece of advice:
First, you can't come here if you dont have a 4 wheel drive because this is a mountainous rocky area. Arrange for a jeep or any other 4 wheel drive vehicle. Second, bring your own snacks and water, because there isn't any available for many kilometers. Lastly, make sure you wear good shoes so you can climb up rocks and keep a spare pair with you. It's even more fun if you come with a whole lot of people.
YOU MUST VISIT THIS PLACE....
