I am writing this review to document my extremely negative experience at Noor ul Madinah Hotel. In my opinion, this property is unsafe, unhygienic, and falsely advertised online.
Safety Hazards
The elevator was malfunctioning and dropped abruptly when reaching the floor, posing a serious danger to guests.
The electrical installations in the room were hazardous. When I plugged my phone into the socket, I received a strong electric shock through my arm. Additionally, there was a constant current in the room — my sister’s hair was rising due to static electricity. These conditions make the property unsafe for occupancy.
Misrepresentation and Poor Condition of the Rooms
The room provided looked nothing like the images shown on Booking.com. The photos online appear misleading.
The beds were extremely hard, pillows were damaged, the walls were cracked (as seen in the attached photo), and the toilet was broken.
Cleanliness was unacceptable. The room was dirty, and basic amenities such as proper room service and housekeeping were not provided.
Lack of Proper Service
Only one staff member was assigned to clean multiple rooms and provide service for the entire hotel, which is inadequate.
At check-in, the receptionist attempted to talk us into staying rather than addressing the obvious issues with the property.
False Advertising
The images and descriptions online did not match the reality. Based on my experience, I believe the positive reviews listed may not be authentic.
Conclusion Due to the unsafe electrical wiring, broken facilities, false advertising, and unacceptable hygiene standards, I was forced to leave the property immediately and book accommodation elsewhere.
I strongly advise Booking.com (and any other platforms where this hotel is listed) to investigate Noor ul Madinah Hotel for serious safety violations and misleading...
Read moreOur stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and I strongly advise others to avoid it. I wish I could give it a zero star. It started with them not giving us the right rooms leading to constant changing almost everyday. I have briefly summarized what me, my father and my cousin’s family faced in 7 days. (2 rooms) • Unsafe water situation: The water from the taps was always hot, even when using the cold option. This made it impossible for children to bathe safely. My cousins’ two kids suffered daily because of this. On top of that, after the 5th day of our 7-day stay, the hotel stopped providing bottled water when we requested it, leaving us with no safe drinking option. • Shuttle service issues: The shuttle service to Haram was completely unreliable. Most of the time we had to either walk 25 minutes in the heat due to surrounding construction or pay 15 riyals each way for transportation, which added up quickly. • WiFi and amenities: The WiFi was nearly useless, constantly disconnecting and far below acceptable standards for any modern hotel. • Staff behavior: While some staff members were polite, one receptionist in particular, named Taslim, was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. For a religious city that welcomes pilgrims, this kind of treatment is unacceptable. He should be fired and replaced. • Overall: Between the unsafe water, inconsistent services, lack of basic hospitality, and unprofessional staff, this hotel is not fit to accommodate families or pilgrims. I would strongly recommend that authorities investigate this property, because the conditions we experienced are not only unacceptable but...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at this hotel during my recent visit to Medina, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with warmth and hospitality, making me feel right at home.
The location of the hotel is perfect – just a short walk from the Prophet’s Mosque, which was incredibly convenient for daily prayers. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could ask for, including comfortable bedding and a stunning view of the mosque from my window.
The hotel’s facilities are top-notch. The dining options were exceptional, offering a variety of delicious dishes that catered to all tastes. The breakfast buffet was especially noteworthy, with fresh, high-quality food and great variety.
One of the standout features was the level of service. The staff was attentive, always ready to assist with any request, and their dedication to ensuring my comfort was evident throughout my stay. The hotel’s cleanliness was impeccable, and I felt safe and well-cared for at all times.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Medina. Whether you’re here for religious reasons or simply to experience the beauty of this holy city, this hotel will make your stay even more special. I can’t wait to return on...
