The beautiful sandy beaches are still there and will have plenty of football matches to watch. It's bit of a tourist trap with accommodation too expensive for what's generally on offer. I always loved staying at Sobo Bade but the old Haitian actor who had the original vision sadly passed a few years ago (2022) and they want $50 a night for a small dingy room - go next door or up the road as there's much better places available.
