Peculiar layout that reminds one of the infinite staircase in the Inception movie. Be careful when navigating the EW Line exit, as if you may wind up in the Circle Line instead.
Businessmen on Segways are a common sight here which gives the place a futuristic vibe. Futuristic for them, because you probably have to walk in the hot sun anyway. But no fear! There is a conveniently situated Cheers on Level 1 where you can pop into for a second of comforting air-conditioning before you face the harsh sun. (For free!) That or you could walk to The Star Vista which has virtually nothing affordable to eat because the Food Court is currently closed.
The air-conditioning inside the underground section of the MRT station is not particularly unique. I've also deducted one star because while you're here, you'll find yourself spending an excessive amount of energy walking a lot and going seemingly nowhere.

Read moreNice MRT station, larger compared to other stations due to the CC and EW line convergence. Underground CC line airconditioned so commuters feel comfortable. However, the escalators keep breaking down so have to walk down stairs causing major inconvenience and time wasted. Wld be great if SMRT fixes or maintains their escalators regularly, especially if it is one then moves commuters down 15 metres ( estimated ). One of SG's well-designed and maintained MRT stations and part of its ever-changing and expanding transport...
