What Went Well Timeline & Coordination: Our ID was reliable and kept everything on track, even finishing a month ahead of schedule. He also coordinated swiftly with subcontractors whenever issues cropped up.
Cost & Extras: Pricing was competitive, and the added freebies helped us stretch our budget in a few areas.
Design Support The process was quite hands-off. While our ID offered input when prompted, we often had to ask very specific questions to get meaningful advice. While most of our carpentry turned out great, we do have to highlight one example: we were shown a 60 cm shoe-cabinet sketch and a measurement on the tape for approval—which we later realised was oversized for the space and lacked functionality (read on to find out what happened next). A bit more holistic guidance on scale and overall aesthetic—such as surfacing practical considerations or alternative layouts—would have helped us make more confident choices.
Quality Checks & Handover Some issues were proactively rectified, but others—like paint touch-ups and small blemishes—required us to visit and mark them out ourselves. They were fixed promptly once flagged. Less pleasant was finding a stain in our brand-new toilet bowl after a contractor failed to flush properly; being asked to clean it ourselves felt disappointing for a handover, though we’re confident our ID would have sent help had we insisted.
After-Sales Care This was one area where CasaID truly shone. Even after handover, they continued to follow up with us—not just reactively, but proactively—to offer assistance after hearing about our experience. When we gave feedback about the lack of design guidance, they listened without defensiveness and shared that they were taking steps to improve this through internal training.
We also really appreciated their responsiveness when it came to making things right. For instance, when we raised concerns about the shoe cabinet, the team was quick to propose a refabrication—no pushback, no excuses, just a sincere desire to help us achieve our perfect home. He had invested in building good relationship with his team which directly translated to quality work and keeping tight to the schedule. Handing Over – We were very pleased that even with some changes to plans along the way, Roger had managed to kept finance in check and at handover, the final cost of the renovation did not deviate too far from the initial quotation! This was most definitely a big relief for me and my spouse.
